About Sarah

I am a multi-media artist who studied design at Bennington College (BA) and Pratt Institute (MS).  Colors, textures and combinations of varied materials always inspire me, and my tangible art often combines wood, metal, and textiles.  I feel lucky to have a diverse work background that has taken me to NYC, Aspen,  Telluride, Ventura, Dominican Republic, and the coast of Maine. These wildly varied locations have shaped my equally unique work history, which includes interior and spacial design, fashion, and advertising. The common theme of my work has always been the visual element: I create visual context for people to draw inspiration from, to better identify with, and to tell their story.  In addition to my design work, I am an ardent surfer, a certified Reiki therapist, and a lover of animals. The name Outside Blue Line comes from my love for the water and the outdoors, lines and patterns of nature, and pushing boundaries to reach areas unexpected and rewarding.
